Minimum Salary Range Job Summary This position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the development and implementation of the statewide Care Van program in coordination with program team members. This includes coordination with key health agencies, program development, implementation of Care Van partnerships; contribution to the social media strategy; organization and maintenance of all needed information, literature, giveaways, sales information and health promotional materials for outreach; maintenance of records tracking number of services provided, community involvement and evaluation data for departmental analysis; and assistance in the delivery of monthly reports on Care Van activities. Ability and willingness to travel weekly, as needed, including regular overnight stays. This position is also responsible for special projects as assigned by the Administrator of the Care Van Program and Community Relations Specialist II assigned to the Care Van. Responsibilities * Develop, manage and maintain contacts and groups within an assigned territory to meet the departmental and individual goals. Serve as a resource to community and providers representing the company in a public capacity. * Utilize highly developed time management skills to maintain a detailed and varied schedule of events within the assigned territory as well as a back-up to fellow representatives both within and outside the department. * Provide educational programs to identified population on available products within a designated territory. Offer customized programs to fit the needs of the group i.e. lecture, workshop, interactive, or panel. * Participate in community events such as health fairs, local and state fairs, expos, and other relevant community events to promote HCSC’s services and programs and to be a resource. * Maintain a regular schedule of designated field sites to offer one-on-one insurance counseling to targeted groups. Resolve customer inquiries and answer benefit questions and make referrals to appropriate agencies and entities when needed. * Maintain a thorough knowledge of benefits, eligibility, claim process, as well as secondary insurance options for training, counseling and resource purposes. Be knowledgeable of HIPPA rules and regulations in the course of these duties. * Identify new prospects within a territory via networking, direct mail, referral and personal contact. Cultivate and maintain professional working relationship with various federal, state and community entities i.e.hospitals, churches, park districts, libraries, colleges, clubs and organizations. Maintain a detailed directory of same. * Prepare activity and status reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis to monitor status of individual and departmental goals and objectives. Maintain a physical inventory of promotional and training materials to accomplish these goals. * Establish and maintain effective communication with internal departments to serve as back-up for open enrollments * Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc. * Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies. * Maintain complete confidentiality of company business. * Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested. Required Job Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Health Care or Business Administration OR 4 years work experience in an insurance environment * 3 years of experience in health care administration, community health OR grant management * Interpersonal, analytical, presentation and communication skills * Knowledge of the health care industry * Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas for responsibility, including overnight stays * Organizational and planning skills * Ability to take initiative and work independently * Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure * Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Job Qualifications: * Marketing experience We encourage people of all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
