Health Care District of Palm Beach County is Hiring a Compensation Analyst Near West Palm Beach, FL

Overview

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the development of compensation practices including physician compensation for the Health Care District. The compensation analyst plans, assists in planning, developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to the Health Care District’s objectives and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring, through periodic review, that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Responsibilities

Eseential Functions:

  • Analyzing survey data to determine competitive levels of pay for physicians.
  • Assisting with maintaining and modifying, as needed, the Pay Grade Structure, including minimum, midpoint and maximum of grades and ensuring the spread between the minimum and the maximum is in line with best practices.
  • Conducts periodic job analysis to ensure consistency and market equity with Health Care District pay systems.
  • Maintains, as needed, Health Care District shift differential protocol and other premium pay programs policy to ensure consistency within the organization.
  • Makes recommendations to support compensation strategies for organization wide compensation philosophies, policies and protocol.
  • Provides advice and guidance to HR & Talent Acquisitions team members on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of solutions to specific compensation related programs.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting relative data and recommendations.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys to ensure organization compensation objectives are achieved and align with market pay. Identify benchmark (and non-benchmark) jobs to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the HR Management team to ensure a successful annual merit increase/review process.
  • Participate in the setup of compensation planning and approval workflows through the Human Resources Information System.
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Represents the Human Resources Department in a positive customer-focused manner while maintaining and providing timely follow-up/status of requests. Returns phone calls/electronic messages timely.
  • Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related field is required, Master’s Degree in Human Resources or business-related field, preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five or more (5 ) years of experience in compensation and a minimum of three or more (3 ) years of experience in physician compensation. Mid to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills required.

Certification:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP preferred, but not required.
