Heal is Hiring a Remote Triage Nurse

Location: Remote (United States)

Heal provides services for seniors consisting of house calls, telemedicine, and remote patient monitoring (RPM). We currently operate in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Illinois, and Washington, with ‌plans for national expansion. 

The Role:

We are looking for a licensed registered nurse (RN) to provide triage advice to patients. The nurse will collaborate with clinical leadership and operations to perform triage for primary care patients, review and manage remote patient monitoring data alerts, and will report directly to the Medical Director of Virtual Health. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience with triage and be comfortable working in a novel care delivery model.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide triage to patients whether they may be safely treated at home by us, or need to be seen in an emergency room. 
  • Assist patients by answering questions that need urgent clinical intervention
  • Review remote patient monitoring data alerts and manage response by interacting with patients, following protocols, and coordinating care
  • Collaborate with operations team members and primary care providers, be a teammate and source of knowledge for non-clinical staff
  • Attention to detail, especially in medical documentation
  • Support training and provide mentorship to new staff 
  • Support local care coordination to close care gaps and optimize outcomes
  • Participation in Heal related activities to build and test products
  • Work with Medical Directors and the Chief Medical Officer to identify opportunities to innovate and improve medical care

Requirements:

  • Nursing degree (BSN or MSN) 
  • Active nursing license with Compact licensure and New York licensure
  • 5 years of clinical experience preferred 
  • Experience with telemedicine, primary care, or home-based care preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, Microsoft Word or Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Stable Wifi connection and private working space (HIPAA-compliant)

Salary Range:

  • $60-65K/Annually, DOE
  • Salary range may vary in Connecticut, Colorado, and New York

All employees who drive during a shift are provided a GPS tracking device called “NOW”. The NOW device allows Heal Doctors to improve the accuracy of reported locations and arrival times, while also expediting the mileage reimbursement process. Please note, the NOW device is the sole method for submitting mileage reimbursement and needs to be used during the entirety of the employee's shift. If not, this will cause delays in mileage reimbursement and possible inaccuracies.
