As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will support the company’s overall audit function. The Senior Internal Auditor supports that the Director in setting the direction, policies and procedures for the company’s auditing systems and procedures, including compliance with the J SOX. The Senior Internal Auditor reports to the Director, Internal Audit at Kyocera Document Solutions America and to the Head of Corporate Global Audit division at Kyocera Corporation.

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Interact with senior executive level leadership and subsidiary management.,

Provide business units and corporate departments with required direction and processes to ensure that the company’s controls over financial reporting are properly identified, defined, documented and monitored.

Provide support in the preparation of audit scope and detailed audit plans and audit programs.

Identify departments and/or operations to be audited and the frequency of those audits.

Review and report audit progress and projects against established plans and protocols to ensure reports are delivered on time and in line with quality standards.

Interpret related findings and report on their impact on the organization.

Perform subsequent audits to ensure completion of appropriate corrective action is required.

Analyze and interpret audit findings, report the impact of those findings to key stakeholder groups, and make/implement recommendations to ensure compliance.

Provide status and progress updates on audit implantation strategies and compliance, monitoring and testing efforts to members of the Board’s Audit Committee and senior level executives.

Help coordinate the activities and efforts of internal and external auditors, legal counsel and others involved with compliance efforts.

Participate in various projects within the Kyocera Corporate Global Audit division to improve the audit approach and internal control environment. This is done with the guidance and participation of the Director Internal Audit at KDA.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

CPA and/or certified internal auditor (CIA) credential AND minimum of 3 years related audit experience at a public company or accounting firm

SOX auditing experience, strong technical skills in accounting and operational auditing,

and familiarity with IT audits

Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP)

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Keen analytical aptitude

Strong organizational, project management and presentation skills

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Willing to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 10 – 15%)
