Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision and according to general policies and procedures, maintains physical plant, boilers, emergency generators, chillers and associated equipment. Maintains an environment of safety and comfort for both patients and employees

• Knowledge of Plant Operations and Maintenance practices, procedures and systems
• Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, local and JCAHO regulations and guidelines
• General knowledge of boiler and chiller plant operations. General knowledge of fluid mechanicals
• Knowledge of computerized energy management system(s)

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma / GED; or two to three years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language
• HVAC or CFC refrigeration and recovery certificate- universal required -within 90 days from date of hire
