Description
The employee will be responsible for the running of all lines, the supervision for the production floor, setting up and maintaining all paperwork, and all disciplinary actions toward his employees.
Essential Job Functions:
- Will supervise production lines, line leaders and production line employees.
- Will work with various types of production equipment including: fillers, cappers, labelers, wrappers, pumps and tapers.
- The Production Supervisor should have basic knowledge of FDA and cGMP requirements.
- Must have extensive knowledge regarding the current Union CBA and be able to supervise their subordinates accordingly.
- The employee on the day prior to the production run will consult the schedule for the line assignments. The supervisor will insure proper components are present, will fill in the production worksheets, all will setup line manning assignments for the following day.
- Prior to start-up the employee will ensure all lines are set up with components, ensure the line has batch, ensure line is mechanically set, ensure all lines are adhering to cGMP standards, and all employees are instructed in their positions.
- Insure necessary components are present (line set up, batch requirements).
- Responsible to follow all safety requirements and insure PPE is used at all times. Conduct regular safety meetings twice monthly.
- Responsible for scheduling the line assignments and assigning line workers as needed.
- Provide instruction to line leaders regarding production requirements and provide training as necessary.
- Complete production sheets and review work orders
- Must possess experience, skills and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes to fill in for the Production Manager when required. This entails the need for a basic knowledge of all functions managed by that particular Manager.

- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Required to pass a drug test
