Job Details

Department Overview

The Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Department of State (DoS), Charleston, SC requires the contractor to provide Executive Assistance to the Global Financial Operations Directorate (GFO). GFO provides direct management and support for the DoS’s domestic and overseas accounting operations, working capital fund accounting, accounts payable and receivables, reconciliation and compliance with the Treasury Department, and travel card management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation from a two-year college.
  • Secretarial or administrative experience supporting over 40 staff members
  • Experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, and database management
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and orally)

Job Responsibilities

  • Recording Time and Attendance (departmental timekeeper)
  • Maintains Director’s and Assistant Director’s calendars, schedules, and paid time off
  • Prepare, proofreads, and edits correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Prepares, manages, and tracks travel for division personnel
  • Assists with preparing and supporting conferences
  • Records and publishes meeting minutes

Security Clearance Requirement

All contractors supporting this Department must be able to either possess or obtain a security clearance of Secret.

Work Schedule

The employee will work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:15 am to 6:00 pm with a non-compensated 45-minute lunch. Additional hours may be required and must be authorized by your Project Manager and DoS Management. This is a hybrid position with 3 days teleworking and 2 days on-site.
