Our office, which is located just off the waterfront in San Francisco’s South Financial District, provides uncompromised client service for tech companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists. The San Francisco office of Haynes and Boone, LLP has an opening for a full-time Recruiting Assistant. This individual will provide administrative support five days a week for the summer, fall, and lateral hiring programs, as well as, the attorney integration program in our California offices. We require this individual to have a bachelor’s degree, strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), excellent written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines. Must be willing to work 37.5 hours a week. Previous work experience preferred. Basic Function This Position requires the individual to handle and assist the Director of Attorney Recruitment, Managers, and Coordinators in all phases of attorney recruitment. This person is typically hired on as a Recruiting Assistant and later promoted to Assistant Recruiting Coordinator. Essential Duties Fall and IL Programs Assists with scheduling in-office interviews, pre-screening resumes, Coordinating and distributing schedules and resumes to interviewing attorneys, Entering information into computer for recruiting meetings, updating documents daily; proofing and preparing offer letters for recruits. Preparing Firm swag for distribution to students and setting up lunches and dinners and happy hours for students. Assist with planning and coordination of OCI, OCI receptions and 1L Receptions Summer Program Assist with preparation and implementation of summer program: Research, plan and schedule social events, lunches, dinners, and other outside activities during the program. Set up and prepare the face book for portal, first day orientation, invitations, nametags, and mailings. Maintain work product assignments and evaluations and compile information for offers. Attend most summer program events. Lateral Program Assist with all aspects of lateral partner and associate hiring. Attorney Integration Program Assists with organizing and implementing the integration plans for new attorney, including first year associates and later attorneys. Other Duties Perform other related duties assigned or needed. Reporting Relationship The Recruiting Assistant/ Assistant Recruiting Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Attorney Recruitment, Senior Manager of Recruitment, Managers and Recruiting Coordinators. Subordinate staff: N/A Qualifications Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, computer skills, excellent writing and communication skills and have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines. Recruiting experience preferred, but not required.
