Job Summary

The facility at Turners Falls is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 2^nd shift. The primary function will be to maintain all equipment and respond to all breakdowns. This is a fast-paced position requiring excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and a dedication to teamwork. We’re looking for dependable people with a desire to learn, who ideally have some experience with hydraulic systems and pneumatic controls. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Maintain all guards and safety devices
• Perform preventative maintenance as directed
• Assist Production teams in proper operation of shop equipment
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor

Required Skills/Experience/Education

• Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude
• Experience with hydraulic systems and pneumatic controls
• Works well with others: team player
• Clear and patient communicator
• Must have good attendance record
• Ability to read and understand manuals and diagrams
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position

Preferred (Not Required) Skills & Experience

• Degree or Certification in maintenance or related field a plus
• 1 years experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Experience with electrical controls
• Experience with HVAC systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Welding experience
• Lock Out/Tag Out training
