Warehouse Workers  

Hiring for 6:00AM to 2:30PM shift, with a 40 hours/week requirement.

When overtime is available: Warehouse operating hours from 5am to 3:30 pm, M-F, flexible on early start or stay after shift for overtime hours.

Position Overview:  Warehouse worker in LaPorte, Indiana, processing returned books. Work in individualized stations, with computer system and scanners to process credits to customers. Collect product from conveyor line, sort, and put in designated locations. Use pallet jack to move material as needed.

Use scanners and computer systemsQuality check each unit for damageStack product on pallet in usable format or patternRe-palletize cartons on palletsUse manifest sheet to put product away within 24 hrs. of receiptVerify price and quantity by productUse a pallet jackUse RF ScannerPack product in cartons for distributionObey all safety and housekeeping rules

Cleaning area on a regular basis, sweeping and dusting

Must be available for overtime as needed Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the department supervisor or warehouse manager

Qualifications

Must have some previous warehouse experience.

Possess the capability of reading and comprehending instructions/procedures.Must have good communication skills.Must be capable of standing all day and lifting up to 50 poundsMust be able to use pallet jack to move pallets up to 600lbsUse ladder or stool to and reach overhead Good organizational and Math skillsComputer literate, prefer knowledge of AS400 Must be 18 years of age
