As the Staff Account you will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. Will have contact with senior-level executives and Accounting Manager which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
• Perform various manufacturing related accounting tasks including inventory, cycle count, cost of goods sold reporting.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in the daily banking requirements.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
• Supports budget and forecasting activities.
• Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with company tax reporting
• Support Accounting Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements 

• Two (2) to Five (5) years of accounting/finance experience
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, in accounting
• Ability to evaluate and interpret data and trends
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, juggle multiple priorities and function in a flexible environment.
• Must be flexible and have the ability to work under tight deadlines and be able to deliver completed work and with accuracy.
• Internally motivated, ask oriented individual that can complete a task without direct supervision.
