HARIBO of America is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Pleasant Prairie, WI

HARIBO of America’s brand-new manufacturing plant is adding a Human Resources Generalist to our Human Resources team; located on-site in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Generalist position will be responsible for a full range of generalist Human Resources functions including but not limited to employee relations, engagement and retention, coaching and providing guidance to supervisors and managers, performance reviews, assisting with recruitment and interviewing, conducting investigations and interactive discussions, conflict avoidance and resolution, facilitating problem solving, HR Communications, and special projects. The original and iconic HARIBO Goldbears, created in 1922, have delighted kids and grown-ups for 100 years!

The overall responsibility of the HR Generalist is to assist the HR Director in development and flawless execution of the People Plan, supporting all areas of HR and our People Centric culture. Primary areas of focus will be with Manufacturing Associates, Front-Line Supervisors, Individual Contributors, and our administrative salaried non-exempt staff. The ideal Human Resources Generalist will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience working in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with Associates at all levels throughout the manufacturing plant, ensuring they have an advocate to help them with any questions or concerns they may have that is affecting their employment relationship
  • Conducts confidential internal investigations, documentation of investigations, and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Support, and at times lead, various Associate engagement events
  • Serve as the point of contact for their assigned area for advice, guidance, problem resolution, performance management, policy adherence, disciplinary action, and facilitation and coaching of leaders to promote conflict avoidance, people development, and issue resolution
  • Participate in Job Fairs, Interest Fairs, and hiring events and other external activities that support the execution of recruitment and hiring strategies
  • Support and participate in new hire orientations and onboarding
  • Partner with other HR Generalists, Training Manager, Total Rewards, and members of the human resources team

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related degree, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Human Resources experience within a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred
  • Understanding and knowledge of current employment laws and practices including EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA and other applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Ability to be organized, flexible, adaptable, and multi-task in fast-paced growing organization
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, decision making and judgement skills
  • Proven ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization
