Contract Specialist

Overview

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 

Experience: This position requires 5 years related work experience with contract review.

Job Summary: Generally responsible for acting as the initial point of contact for contract questions and assisting in any related work.  Responsibilities include initiating, tracking, and assembling of contract documents. This position is specifically responsible for facilitating contracts through the approval process, tracking their flow and seeing them through to completion and archiving.  This work will be performed under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Track and process contracts and agreements from proposal through execution, distribution and life cycle.
• Assist by drafting letters and forms and obtaining backup documentation and information.
• Gather and organize information for contracts, leases and other matters as assigned. This may include researching and organizing documents, analyzing data and preparing contract chronologies and narratives, including scope.
• Facilitate various agreements and purchase orders.
• Input contract information into database for record and reference.
• Provide instruction related to navigation of the contract management system.
• Assist in determining correct contract flow downs for subcontracts when applicable.
• Assist in managing and maintaining template libraries.
• Transcribe, dictate, type, make photocopies, and organize.
• Interface in a professional and diplomatic way to maintain and facilitate business activities.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and other software as needed.
• Detail oriented in reviewing requests and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates.
