Responsibilities:

• Staff management, Events Coordination and Management.
• To ensure continuity, growth and profitability of the store through the management of costs and the maximization of sales turnover and returns.
• Procurement, Stock Control and Merchandising products are purchased in line with the Company procurement policies and procedures.
• Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with in an effective manner and resolved.
• ??????Ensure all Customers are being helped.
• Inspects delivery trucks, pulled pickup and delivery materials.
• Ensures inventory and invoicing is accurate.
• Ensures inventory is shelved and placed in the appropriate places as quickly as possible.
• Ensures staffing needs are met.
• Conducts interviews of applicants.
• Ensures employees are providing quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Responsible for ensuring opening and closing procedures are executed.
• Ensures building entryways and dumpster areas are secure.
• Ensures materials and supplies are put away.
• Manages cash opening and closing procedures.
• Responsible for training of new hires on all company equipment.
• Oversees night stocking crew.
• Confirms stocks is accurately dispersed.
• Ensures back marking issues are addressed.
• Ensures proper compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversees employees performance.
• Executes disciplinary action and merits as necessary.
• Manages issues arising from override.
• Fills in areas where necessary.
• Creates weekly department schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Able to work weekends and 55-hour work week; closed on Sundays.
• Previous retail lumber and hardware experience.
• Knowledge of hardware and lumber products is required.
• Knowledge of lumber products is preferred.
• 3 years experience in a junior-mid level management position.
• 5-10 years retail home improvement experience.
• Knowledge of merchandising principles and OSHA.
