HARD Manufacturing Company, located in Buffalo, NY, is a leading manufacturer of quality critical care cribs and youth beds that are sold domestically and around the world. Our products are all built in our local manufacturing facility by union labor.

Position Summary

The Factory Maintenance person principally performs maintenance work and keeps up with machinery, equipment and inside/outside building repairs. The individual uses various hand and power tools to perform the job and should have thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical tasks, including 120/240/480 volt single and 3 phase repairs and installations, lock-out/tag-out procedures. The individual must have good hand/eye coordination, physically be able to perform lifting and climb ladder on a frequent basis and demonstrate skill in the use of mechanical, hand tools and equipment along with good manual dexterity. They should be experienced/capable of maintaining large mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machines as well as CNC Lasers, Brakes, Mill and Lathe.

The maintenance tech must be able to work independently. The individual updates and maintains the company’s performance maintenance (PM) schedule across all plant equipment based on each machine’s recommended PM cycle. This includes written documentation, outreach (as appropriate to third party vendors), and trouble-shooting. A successful maintenance mechanic will minimize any production downtime and outside vendor service calls due to equipment failures.

Experience and Education

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience &/or training in maintenance technician role, in a manufacturing environment
• Both Electrical and Mechanical expertise is ideal
• OSHA experience a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.50 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
