Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee daily cycle counts, inventory adjustments and aid customer service in the timely fulfillment of orders as it relates to stock discrepancies. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
• Organize and maintain product locations (bins), re-stock items as necessary, labels shelves
• Ensuring that all merchandise is safely and securely strapped
• Reporting of damaged product and hazardous situations
• Disposal of products correctly and efficiently
• Other warehouse tasks may be assigned 
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices standard operating procedures.
• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar.
• Research all inventory-related discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments in the inventory system.
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
• Bring to the attention of the department managers immediately any discrepancies noticed in tagging or SKUing of merchandise.
• SOP and timely resolve any issues with the CEM and Operations Manager.
• Aid the Operations Manager during any physical inventory period.
• Maintain all cycle count paperwork per SOP.
• Follow-up to ensure that all changes were implemented.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate Degree (Required) 
• 2 years of experience in warehouse/inventory control 
• Must be able to speak and comprehend English 
• Intermediate knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet software (excel).
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.

While performing the duties of this job, Inventory Control Specialist frequently stands, walks, bends, squats, twist, reach with hands and arms, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, in multi-temperature environments. Some work stress inherent to the position and extended work hours may be required.

Work Environment:

Work environment will be 70% in the office, 30% in the warehouse overseeing processes.
