Hanley Energy is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. Duties/Responsibilities:The VP of Finance role is considered part of the Finance & Accounting's Leadership Team. Reporting directly to Country Manager and will have responsibility for company financial accounting and external reporting to the Group CFO, Executive Leadership team and the shareholders of Hanley Energy. The VP of Finance will demonstrate technical, strategic, and operational expertise and leadership. They should have excellent presentation and communication skills. This role will work directly with regional managers in three States and a Global Finance team. Responsibilities will also include the implementation and development of various business systems such as inventory control, day to day workflows and supporting processes.

  • Ensure compliance and maintain awareness to all federal, state, local and corporate laws and policies.
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with GAAP across all accounting and controller-ship functions.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements and reports, reviewing for errors and correcting any inconsistencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
  • Oversee timely and accurate multi-company financial information including financial statements, WIP analysis, ratios, projections, job cost analysis and budgets
  • Lead the upgrade and expansion of finance systems and efficiency in the accounting process.
  • Treasury management.
  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, and other related procedures and controls.
  • Create Milestones and KPI’s the reflect the departments development and implementation.
  • Work closely with senior business management across business units in Virginia, Ohio and Oregon to plan and forecast company financial roadmap and financial goals.
  • Provide leadership to the accounting function to enable increased levels of employee job satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Develop systems and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentoring direct reports to grow in their roles & responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
  • Direct and manage departmental staff through goal setting, guidance, and coaching. Prioritize and assign departmental goals and projects; and provide developmental opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience leading remote teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX is required
  • SAP Business One experience desirable
  • Advanced degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Ability to manage and lead the audit process and the external auditor relationship
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a mid-size global company
  • CPA required
  • Strong strategic management, planning, and analytical skills in complex organizations required
  • Strong interpersonal and influential skills to cultivate relationships, facilitate negotiations, and build partnerships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Experience working with European companies an advantage.
  • Travel on occasion

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • 15 years of experience in manufacturing and service.
