Description

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for supporting and providing an exceptional client experience for all internal and external clients by utilizing excellent knowledge in client services, problem resolution, jewelry and watch repair, product knowledge, computer skills, and security & operations.

General Purpose: Developing Client Relations; Problem Resolution; Strategic Selling Hamilton Services; Product Knowledge; Computer Skills; Security & Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients promptly and engage them to establish their needs, treating all clients equally, regardless of purchase or appearance.
  • Repair take-in with accurate documentation, and pricing repairs using the established pricing guide.
  • Ensure proper coding of repairs.
  • Enter all repairs into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Promote and present services available to clients, describing the benefits and value.
  • Probe, recommend, select, or assist in locating merchandise based on clients needs and desires.
  • Manage any client service issues while maintaining the brand's high standards, using all appropriate resources, in a timely manner to ensure complete client satisfaction.
  • Maintain familiarity with product lines, merchandise sources, and Hamilton sources.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies and procedures, and security practices.
  • Maintain effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Maintain organized and updated required company documentation to guarantee compliance, client satisfaction; and for building long-term relationships.
  • Apply proper client considerations per Hamilton established company standards on stock and special order merchandise.
  • Comply with company insurance regulations and shipping policies.
  • Uphold a team approach to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, adherence to M/V/CV, and career growth.
  • Set goal for professional growth and development.
  • Complete New Hire Training Program.
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff training meetings to ensure development.
  • Attend in store vendor training sessions.
  • Provide effective in-store communication regarding merchandise and all activities effecting other associates and store operations.
  • Communicate with Supervisor making them aware of store merchandise needs and clients' interest in products not represented by Hamilton.
  • Ensure complete familiarity with and demonstrate our agreed upon Value system. Develop daily business relationships and decisions.
  • Adherence to Hamilton's Vision and Mission Statements, Corporate Values, and Service Standards; and ensure operating in accordance with the strategic objectives.
  • Serve on community boards, committees, and organizations
  • Prepare sales slips or sales contracts
  • Compute sales prices, total purchases, receive, and process cash or credit payment.
  • Contribute and perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports

Other Relationships: The Customer Service Associate is accountable to the Service Manager and/or Operations Manager and/or Store Manager.

Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work non-traditional business hours including nights, weekends, some holidays, and peak sales periods. This position also requires the employee to stand for long periods; and will need supervisory approval to leave the service department (for security purposes).
