Position Summary:

Halio seeks a talented and experienced Firmware Engineer to bring new Halio system products to the world. This role is key to improving Halio’s codebase to enhance further growth of the product line.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop quality code on ARM Cortex architecture
• Manage, maintain, and enhance the development of firmware for MCUs and SoCs
• Hands-on bench test and debug using meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronics test equipment
• Write control systems algorithms for applications such as DC-DC, DAC conversion, window drive, fault protection, PID Loops, Serial, SPI, and other communication protocols
• Work closely with hardware engineering in developing and defining the specifications for future products, including recommendations on emerging technologies and design best practices
• Close cooperation with project managers to deliver products within scope, budget, and quality requirements
• Conduct and participate in hardware, firmware, and software reviews
• Document design to facilitate interaction with other developers, manufacturing partners, and quality
• Provide ongoing sustaining support with firmware updates and testing
• Manage, maintain, and enhance the development of firmware for MCUs and SoCs used in the Halio system

Qualifications:

• Minimum education of BSCS, BSEE, BSCE or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in software on embedded platforms
• Proficient at coding in C, C , or similar languages
• Self-starter who is willing to take on a variety of tasks, who can adapt and learn new skills quickly in a dynamic work environment
• Proficient at design, development, analysis, verification, and troubleshooting
• Very familiar with microcontrollers, and the low-level firmware that interacts directly with hardware

• Understanding of electrical schematics
• Proficiency in C/C , Python a plus
• Solid board bring-up, testing, and debug skills
• Familiar with standard programmers and debug tools
