Job Details The Global Product Manager will establish, direct and coordinate strategic direction, product management and marketing activities for a global software and device solution. As a global marketing leader for the assigned product line, he/she will advance the interests of the product suite and manage the marketing activities of new products and continuous releases, as well as lead product lifecycle management in collaboration with internal stakeholders. This position reports to the Global Marketing Director, Franchise Leader. Responsibilities include: Develops multi-year strategic growth plans and a robust global software suite(s) product roadmap. Translates the business goals to strategic plans that drive revenues and meet or exceed financial performance expectations worldwide. Partner effectively with R&D to define the solution roadmap and set priorities for each software and equipment release that align with global business strategic objectives. Monitor partner equipment and industry software requirements. Leads software suite(s) life cycle management through Core Team and Development & Portfolio Operations Team participation. Develops and manages Marketing milestones, through various phases of Product Lifecycle Management for specified software suites that include opportunity modeling, requirements and priorities for each release. Provides strategic direction for “cradle-to-grave” for a global product line encompassing software, equipment, peripherals. Develops a deep understanding of customer needs, market and technology trends to identify and assess significant growth opportunities and creates strategies that deliver profitable market share. Leads voice-of-customer (VOC) research, identifies and executes market research activities, collects global and regional market intelligence and translates into clear product requirements and prioritization on the product roadmap. Coordinates and develops go-to-market plans including: target market, value proposition, launch material, sales training, pricing strategies and customer-facing collateral. Works closely with downstream Marketing for region-specific programs. Conducts opportunity modeling of new technology platforms including cannibalization / obsolescence of existing products. Participates in the preparation of annual strategic plans and budgets based on business unit goals and growth objectives. Reviews financial and operational performance as well as identifies, presents and monitors plans to achieve short and long-term goals. Supports sales team through customer engagement, including customer visits, trade show presence, and sustaining strong relationships with user advocates and KOLs. Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout the organization; ensures that all key employees understand and implement plans, procedures and contingencies to achieve objectives. Serves as Core team participant: Fosters relationships at all levels within Regulatory, Legal, Quality, Customer Delivery and Support functions to execute go-to-market strategies to achieve product line milestones and Business Unit objectives. Qualifications: Education: BS in Business, Engineering or Science required MBA preferred Experience level: Minimum 7 years marketing experience in the regulated healthcare IT software, medical device, pharmaceuticals and/or life science required. Senior level will be considered for candidates with more than 10 years of experience and with demonstrated higher proficiency levels of marketing competencies. Experience required: Product Management and Marketing experience; software product lifecycle management leadership required. Successful record of accomplishment in product development, market research, product management and commercial marketing (branding, positioning and pricing) required. Experience working in a global and matrix environment, cultural sensitivity required. Global market experience including franchise management, market insights, branding, mergers & acquisitions preferred. Ability to engage with health professionals as well as with internal leadership and senior management. Collaborative spirit, must enjoy working as part of high performing innovation and marketing teams. Strong desire for continuous improvement and personal development.
