HAECO Americas - Cabin Solutions is Hiring an Electrical Design Engineer I (FT) Near Greensboro, NC
JOB SUMMARY:
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering personnel of various disciplines for engineering programs in which HAECO is involved.
- Assist with the development of HAECO statements of work from limited customer provided specification information and aircraft surveys.
- Research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft structure or systems in support of design work.
- Develop and produce design data required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft modifications and components.
- Develop preliminary engineering analysis necessary to substantiate aircraft modifications.
- Interface with other HAECO departments to ensure customer & HAECO requirements are met.
- Attend various design review meetings.
- Provide technical support to HAECO manufacturing during the manufacturing and installation phases of HAECO developed designs.
- Provide support during installation of modifications at remote locations.
- Support other Engineering groups as workload requirements dictate.
- Provide input and suggestions for continuous improvement of various department procedures, controls, flows and systems, and become familiar with HAECO internal policies and procedures.
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific field, or equivalent combination of experience and coursework.
- One (1) year experience utilizing AutoCad or comparable program.
- Must possess knowledge of engineering principles used in Electrical Design.
- Must possess knowledge of personal computer systems with Microsoft Office.
- Must possess good oral, written, and organizational skills, and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work on complex design tasks with assistance.
- Must possess ability to maneuver around airplanes (i.e. climbing stairs, on work stands, etc.) and in confined areas (i.e. cargo compartments, fuel tanks, E/E bays, etc.).
- Must also be able to lift and carry 15 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
- Position requires travel both domestically and internationally. 10%
- Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
