Our main office in Sleepy Eye, MN is looking for a motivated and organized individual to work in our Shipping and Receiving area.

Utilizing a pay-loader and forklift to pull orders from the warehouse & yard and prepare them for shipment by banding and packaging the product is just one of many tasks of this position. Inspecting incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy ensures our customers receive their product on time. Included in their tasks is loading both full and partial (LTL) shipments and other tasks as they arise in supporting our quality service.
Warehouse and yard management- Maintain accurate inventory record keeping by ensuring the products in the warehouse and yard are organized and maintained in a clean, organized and efficient indoor and outdoor storage environment are also an important role in this position.
In-house distribution- Pulling fasteners or other raw materials (rebar, steel, etc.) for the production workers on the shop floor.

Required Skills:

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask while working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge and/or familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for material transactions.
• Able to operate a pay-loader, forklift and band and package product for shipment (Will train)
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches. 

Qualified candidates;KNOWLEDGE, DEMONSTRATED SKILLS & ABILITIES 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.
• Lock out/tag out certification required (will train to achieve certification).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse work environment with all levels of employees.
• Able to be self-motivated, takes initiative and has positive problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, dedication, dependability and timeliness.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and read the English language and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Commitment to building a positive culture.
• Perform work standing for eight-ten hours per day, up to six days per week.

HOURS OF WORK:

• 8 – 10 hours shift typically four days a week including overtime as required.

• Metatarsal boots and safety toe (above the ankle). Leather in front of metatarsal boots.
• Eye protection with side shields behind eye protection
• Ear protection when required
• Pants – full length. Shirts with 4-inch sleeves
• Dust particle mask is applicable
• Hi-Vis apparel when required

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Preformed inside/outside.

• Lighting: natural lighting, supplemental lighting as needed.
• Space: indoor/outdoor work in open environment.
• Temperature: seasonal extremes of hot and cold are encountered.
• Flooring: primarily concrete and gravel; snow, ice or mud may be encountered.
• Noise: continuous noise levels of 80 DB, may be higher on occasion.

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays: 6 a.m.-Noon
