Responsibilities:
Responsible for wetland delineations and Waters of the U.S. Reporting
Preparation of waterway permit applications for state and federal agencies
Coordinating compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as it relates to federal, state, and local agency policy and regulation.
Work with clients to address potential effects to resources associated with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act, and Executive Order 12898 – Environmental Justice (EJ) in Minority and Low-Income Populations
Complete NEPA documents
Conduct environmental surveys including socioeconomic and EJ analysis, preliminary site assessments, and noise analysis
Produce graphics such as mapping and tables to be used in scientific reports
Assist with public involvement, marketing, social media, and business development
Assist other divisions as necessary including Design, Right-of-Way, Construction Inspection, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Natural, Earth, or Environmental Science preferred)
5 years of environmental compliance, planning, or NEPA experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field environmental science.
Expertise in environmental regulations and policy.
Ability to manage projects, including scope and workplan development.
Ability to conduct research and analysis, complete field investigations, and document findings clearly and effectively
Ability to prepare reports for Wetland Delineations
Experience preparing wetland permit applications and coordinating the approval of development projects.
Expertise in wetland, stream, and forest ecology.
Experience with writing National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) documents.
Working knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.
Working knowledge of MS Office computer software (world/excel/outlook).
Well developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; ability to create effective written reports and documentation.
Experience as a project manager and as a client contact for multiple projects. Responsible for ensuring that quality, timely completion, client satisfaction, and financial performance objectives are met for his/her projects.
