H.T. Hackney Company – Foodservice Director – OPP, AL (ALABAMA Area)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Manager and General Manager, the Foodservice Director will support food service sales through effective marketing/merchandising of all food service programs from retail foodservice to food -producing equipment for convenience store channel customers. The director will also be responsible for leading and training a team of foodservice sales professionals across the sales territory of the distribution center.

Duties include:

· Provide a creative vision and direction for the H.T. Hackney foodservice team within your distribution center

· Communicate and implement the foodservice mission to all foodservice specialists in the field and ensure they have the necessary tools to execute all sales strategies and grow their business

· Create visions and goals for your sales force in growth and progress in the foodservice category

· Call on existing and prospective foodservice customers to grow sales

· Work on and learn the pricing strategies through communication with the Distribution Center’s General Manager and Sales Manager for effective sales penetration

· Communicate and work closely with the sales team and purchasing department

· Monitor various scoreboards and other programs to track opportunities and progress to goals, creating sales plans as necessary and providing feedback to the sales team as appropriate

· Presenting monthly sales meeting material for initiatives and programs that are being prioritized with your sales team

· Plan and direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop foodservice sales and service programs

· Ability to implement corporate initiatives at a distribution level with a high execution level that results in success to our retail customers

Position Requirements:

· Sales experience required, with experience in foodservice distribution, retail, or the convenience store channel *preferred*

· Past management experience (2 years preferred)

· Strong communication and presentations skills

· Proven history of building, creating and/or training successful teams

· Excellent negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities

· Demonstrated leadership skills

· Microsoft Office skills required (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) – Data analysis is critical

· Willingness to travel (driving) to retail locations and areas within your coverage (roughly 2 hour drive radius) *Company vehicle provided with gas card*

Salary Pay Range - $52,000 - $58,000. (Varies by warehouse and area)
