We're looking for an experienced technician to assist our team with both maintenance and repair work. The ideal candidate has experience working with a large variety of machines and is comfortable working relatively independently on small repairs. This position, under the direction and guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor, engages in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance as necessary.
• Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installingindustrial machinery.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

• Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
