H.R. Bookstrom Construction, Inc. is Hiring a Hiring Experienced individuals in sewer, water, and storm sewer construction Near Lincoln, NE

Position and compensation will depend on education/experience/knowledge of sewer, water, and storm sewer construction. All positions require a pre-employment drug screen and valid driver's license/transportation.

Available positions are:

Superintendent/Foreman: Responsible for managing a crew of 5-7 individuals made up of equipment operators, laborers, and a pipelayer whom need supervised to install the work safely and correctly. Basic requirements include showing up on time every work day, working 10hr days, able to do basic math, have basic computer operating ability, knowledge of the OSHA standard for trenching/sloping and excavation, work in the elements (weather, mud, dust, etc...), and know/understand how to manage individuals.

Heavy Equipment Operators: Experienced in operating excavators, excavate around existing utilities, excavate within a shoring system & backfill correctly, maintain equipment by checking fluids and greasing daily, able to start work daily at 7am, work 10 hr days, perform some physical labor when assisting laborers

Pipelayer: A pipelayer will be required to install various types and sizes of pipe using a grade pole and laser to install pipe to designed grades and line. Associated with this work is wrenching mechanical joints, gluing PVC fittings, minor math to perform grade checks, and leak prevention by cleaning and lubing each pipe joint. Basic knowledge of hand held, power, and gas tools is required to perform this scope of work as a pipelayer.

Laborer: This work is wrenching mechanical joints, gluing PVC fittings, cleaning and lubing each pipe joint, misc. concrete work (learn to finish concrete), and assisting the pipelayer. Basic knowledge of hand held, power, and gas tools is required to perform this scope of work as a laborer.
