H&R Block is Hiring a Sr Software Engineer Near Portland, OR
We’re growing our technology team and are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to help us modernize our software architecture. When you join us, you’ll use your technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain software components and products that support H&R Block business applications and transform our technology.
This position needs the candidates in town/willing to move to Kansas City for a hybrid work model.H&R Block may assist qualified applicants in obtaining appropriate USCIS work authorization
What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer…
- Design and develop infrastructure and platforms required for enterprise APIs and microservices.
- Refactor existing APIs and services to improve performance, scalability, and reliability of platform
- Ensures delivery of high-quality software by writing clean code, writing unit and integration tests, and following continuous integration/delivery best practices.
- Takes initiative to present ideas / suggestions to management utilizing proactive problem-solving approach.
- Utilizes appropriate communication lines in relaying problems, concerns, questions, and ideas.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
