Overview

The Structures Division of the H&K Group, Inc. is looking for a full-time Parts Runner. The Pats Runner travels to vendor, shop, and job site locations to pickup and deliver parts and materials needed to complete a task. The ideal candidate is neat, organized, and motivated.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Obtain direction and location for daily tasks from manager
• Evaluate and make suggestions on time saving route and task order
• Keep parts truck supplied with necessary bindings to secure loads hauled
• Load and unload shipped and received parts and material
• Maintain and inventory signage needed to escort oversize loads
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the truck
• Verify shipping documents/packing slips to location and quantity received
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to secure loads with mechanical devices
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid DOT Medical card
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

 Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Relevant experience and/or training
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to:
  • Sit, stand, or walk
  • Use hands to finger or feel
  • Talk and hear
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Drive up to 2 hours
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Occasionally exposed to moving parts
• Required to work outdoors in all environments
• Regularly exceed 40 hours/week and 8 hours/day
• Noise level is low to moderate
