H&H Color Lab is one of the largest single facility professional photography labs in the nation, engaged in both the high-end portrait and wedding market and the high-volume school, sports and events market. With 50 years of experience, H&H Color Lab is an industry leader in product development and design for high quality photographic prints and products.

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the warehouse and purchasing functions to ensure Production has all appropriate raw materials on hand. This scope of responsibility includes personnel leadership, purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Pay starts at $25.00 per hour!

Essential Job Duties

• Purchase materials to ensure stock and order requests are processed and received in a timely manner.
• Monitor status of purchases and maintain communication with vendors. Communicate delays and out of stock items to management. 
• Coordinate with accounts payable to resolve discrepancies between PO's and invoices. 
• Responsible for RMA's, returns and ensuring credit is received. 
• Maintain warehouse by keeping stock control systems up to date and ensure inventories are accurate.
• Create new and maintain accurate records for vendors, parts and pricing information in computer system. 
• Create and maintain an inspiring team environment that exhibits H&H Color Lab’s core values: Integrity, Building People, Truthful Communication, Trust and Respect for the Individual, Team Success Over Individual Success, and Only a Right Thing Done in a Right Way is Right. 
• Train, coach, motivate and lead the Purchasing/Warehouse personnel to meet and exceed objectives and goals.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve all processes in the Purchasing/Warehouse department.
• Maintain a strong relationship with all Production Managers and communicate effectively with them regarding their needs.
• Follow all established Standard Work procedures established by the Company and help establish/maintain Standard Work procedures.
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of H&H Color Lab’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate management.
• All other duties as necessary.

Requirements

Job Related Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of Purchasing experience and knowledge of common purchasing and warehouse principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with Salespad preferred. 
• Able to read, write and speak in English at a level normally acquired through a high school education.
• Able to count and accurately read and understand both standard and metric units of measurement.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Able to prioritize, organize, and plan work under own initiative.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills. Have tact and diplomacy to interact with all levels of personnel.
• Must be flexible/adaptable to constant change.
• Must have the ability to perform certain tasks on a repetitive basis including, but not limited to, carrying, standing, kneeling, squatting, pushing, walking, sitting, reaching, pulling, and hand and finger manipulation.
• Able to be able to stand or walk for the majority of the work shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to chest level using proper safety technique.
• Must have the ability to withstand moderate exposure to fumes, chemicals, and noise from machines and equipment.
• Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of him/herself or others.
