    License and Certification Qualifications: None required.
    Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required.
    Experience Qualifications: Five years financial, accounting, budget or treasury and general ledger experience required. Experience with PeopleSoft or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology preferred.
    Skills Qualifications: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; ability to solve practical problems; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; ability to make decisions in a timely and accurate manner; ability to resolve problems utilizing various technologies; ability to work independently with minimum supervision; interpersonal skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of GCPS employees and others outside of GCPS including banking contacts and Third Party Administrators (TPA's); ability to organize activities in order to complete complex tasks, address multiple demands, and meet deadlines; and ability to handle sensitive financial data in a confidential manner.
    Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for processing assigned bank activities, accounting and budgeting activities, and administrative duties for the Department of Budgets and Financial Reporting.
    1. Assist with cash and banking services functions for the Budgets & Financial Reporting Department.
    a. Serve as secondary lead for daily cash book activities.
    b. Process all bank signature card updates and necessary scanning.
    c. Verify, track, and process all banking analysis fees.
    d. Reconcile all local school transfers.
    e. Provide quarterly investment statements to the Director of Internal Audit and yearly statements for Arbitrage Rebate Calculations.
    f. Serve as departmental backup for wires and Automated Clearing House (ACH) uploads for principal’s discretionary and monthly invoices.
    2. Perform escheats functions for the Budgets & Financial Reporting Department.
    a. Review state escheat requirements yearly and update procedure manual as necessary.
    b. Prepare monthly schedule of escheats for all accounts and send correspondence as needed.
    c. Prepare yearly reports as required by the state.
    3. Assist with the annual budget preparation and management process.
    a. Assist with the annual custodial allotment and conversion process.
    b. Assist with processing of payroll code corrections.
    c. Assist with preparation and distribution of budget documents.
    d. Assist with annual Hyperion budget training.
    4. Provide administrative support for the Budgets & Financial Reporting Department.
    a. Manage all supply ordering and P-Card statements for the department.
    b. Manage records retention, storage, and destruction for the Budgets & Financial Reporting department.
    c. Maintain regular scanning of cash book and other banking documents, as well as all other scanning for Internal Audits and other departmental functions.
    d. Prepare or update procedure manuals as requested by department leadership.
    e. Provide administrative support to the department as needed.
    f. Assist with the monthly and annual fiscal year close-out process, annual audit, and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) preparation as needed.
    5. Perform other duties as assigned.
    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
