The case manager will coordinate care between medical, clinical, admission, and administrative departments. The case manager will report directly to the clinical director. The case manager’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: completing clinical updates for the billing company to maximize authorized insurance days, sending out medical records request ensuring that the appropriate release is on file, entering client data in EMR when necessary in regards to clients transfer from one level of care to another. Case manager will also be responsible for coordinating with billing companies, answering emails, and managing the facility insurance census. Other duties may include scanning and uploading insurance letters and other documents.

Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for own clients cases assigned by supervisor
· Monitors and assures compliance with quality assurance and HIPAA as related to treatment.
· Implements site approved treatment practices.
· Maintains accurate record keeping according to JCAHO and state of Florida assurance standards.
· Participates in quality improvement activities.
· Attends and participates in meetings and in-service trainings.
· Communicates with third party billing company providing clinical updates in regards to client’s care.
· Performs duties necessary to accomplish objectives as assigned by the Clinical Director
Case Manager Job Requirements:
· Education and experience normally represented by a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in social work, counseling, psychology or related field with 1-2 years of experience; or, a LPN or RN.
· Create a functioning working and therapeutic relationship with clients, co-workers, and administration.
· Competent organizational skills.
· Competent time management skills
· Ability to respond quickly to time sensitive insurance request
· Ability to maintain confidentiality standards.
· Ability to adhere to departmental, Joint Commission, and state safety requirements.
