GuideOne Insurance Career Center is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near IA, IA
As a Staff Accountant, you will administer and supervise job cost activity for construction jobs. The primary focus will be the execution of billing in a timely manner for these respective jobs. In addition, you will be responsible for a portion of general ledger responsibilities. In this role, you will coordinate many office functions and will work with all staff. To be successful in this role, you must have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities:
- Execute invoices for construction jobs on a monthly basis
- Input the initial contract and budget in Job Cost program
- Update Change Orders
- Work with operations to assure contractor Pay Apps are submitted on a timely basis
- Execute construction of invoices at cost code level in a timely manner
- Assist with AR collection activity for construction jobs
- Assist with General Ledger Duties
- Perform month end journal entries
- Perform month end reconciliations
- Assist with year-end audit
- Assist with executing bank deposits
- Provide assistance to Operations in regards to Job Cost analysis / project management
- Participate in monthly projection calls with project managers regarding their project budgets
- Assist with monthly job cost reporting (comparing actuals versus budget)
- Assisting with forecasting for respective jobs at the cost code / vendor level.
- Assist with Operations Lead Tracker
- Ad hoc projects relating to Operations requests
- Sort and distribute mail
- Assist with credit card maintenance
- Backup consulting job invoicing
