Guayaki Yerba Mate is Hiring a Field Marketing Manager (Chicago) Near Chicago, IL

About the Role

Translate the National Community and Special Ops strategy to the field in assigned markets. Manage the Field Marketing Specialists and Part time Community Cebadors, and define priorities for each one of the markets.

Key Responsibilities and What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Community Network and Special Operations national teams to implement national strategy
  • Work with local Sales team to find new business opportunities, impacting the heart and lifestyle of local consumers, ultimately leading to successful development of the business
  • Implement and uphold a logistical system for warehousing and infrastructure to ensure the right tools and management are in place to support the local needs, succeeding in premium appearance with the smallest footprint possible
  • In depth understanding of the consumer in various fields across the different regions which forms the basis of local idea generation and execution
  • Management of branded tools being used by Field Marketing Specialists and other employees in assigned markets/regions e.g., Event Vehicles, Event Equipment etc.
  • Develop and manage the regional budget with the support of the Field Marketing Director and National Managers
  • Regularly review the environmental impact of the teams marketing activity working with the wider field marketing team to develop a year-round plan and new initiatives to keep impact to a minimum, ensuring we leave the places we operate in better than we found them
  • Manage field expenses and general administration (i.e., PTO approvals, payroll, etc.)
  • Build smart and mutually beneficial collaborations by working with other brands, organizations and networks that bring added value such as expertise, networks, goods, budget or facilities
  • Coordinate with agencies and specialized companies when outsourcing event logistics
  • Create and support local key events, scenes and marketing opportunities in line with Guayaki brand values that are relevant to the local communities and consumers, in alignment with the Special operations National Team
  • Ensure that every consumer experience with the brand is a positive one thanks to love for the detail and premium execution at events and all other field marketing activities
  • Act as a role model to your team and display Guayaki values with a consistent tone of voice that is motivating and inspiring
  • Source, hire, train and manage a diverse team of Field Marketing Specialist that perfectly fit the field scenes and brand
  • Set regional objectives and clear goals with your Field Marketing Specialist to ensure accountability to their key deliverables and conduct on-going performance evaluations
  • Provide on-going coaching and support to ensure Field Marketing Specialists achieve their deliverables
  • Create new and innovative ideas that bring the brand to life and capitalize on new business opportunities. Tapping into local networks, scenes and partner, based on the knowledge and ownership of your region and the global and national priorities
  • Regularly assess and identify development needs of the Field Marketing Specialist working closely with the Field Senior Manager to help make it happen
  • Identify and nurture key talent within the Guayaki Community network giving them opportunities to live up to their potential. Communicate deeper collaborative opportunities with National Community team or Partnership team when applicable
  • Source, hire, train and manage a diverse team of Part Time Community Cebadors in alignment with National Community strategy
  • Train the regional Guayaki team (including sales) on necessary brand strategies and relevant execution guidelines
  • Oversee Fan Club field operations in your region in alignment with National Community strategy
  • Work with FMS team and with National Community Manger to collect feedback regarding Branded collateral to continuously improve branded materials and merchandise to Brand team

Who You Are

  • BA Degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in field marketing and implementing integrated campaigns across multiple locations
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, advertising and event planning
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a variety of tasks and business partners (both internal and external partners); must be able to work cross-functionally with internal sales and operations teams to effectively generate, execute and report on marketing programs
  • Ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders and make decisions based on data and insights
  • Expert knowledge of marketing planning tools and strategies
  • Proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand business from a market, region, P&L, and product perspective
  • Professional team-player, collaborative, and open to feedback
  • Strategic, self-motivated, intellectually curious, innovative and resourceful
  • Dynamic communicator with great oral and written skills
  • Big picture thinker and adaptable to changing environments
