Summary/Objective:
The accounts receivable specialist is responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies, customer service, contract reviews, and extensive follow-up.
“This is not SIMPLY a position that involves overdue customer account management. It is a HEAVY COLLECTIONS role wherein many repeat calls are made to the same customer to obtain their payment over the course of days, weeks, or months.”

Essential Skills: The job of accounts receivable professionals can be stressful, so they need a range of skills and qualities to perform the duties.
Communication:
Accounts receivable specialists need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers. While working with people, they should be flexible and exercise excellent interpersonal skills.
Computer:
This job necessitates advanced 10-key calculator skills. Additionally, they need intermediate computer skills or better to fulfill their daily duties. Remote platforms verses desktop applications for proper use. Strong internet speeds are required. Internet security and knowledge are vital.
Math:
The core of the account receivable job is a mind for numbers and math. To properly complete their tasks, they need good math knowledge and skills. Percentage calculations, tax amounts, Excel formulas are key.
Organizational:
The job of accounts receivable requires superior organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
They should also be highly detail-oriented, have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as Microsoft Teams, computers, laptops, phones, photocopiers, scanning devices, filing cabinets, e-faxes.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

No travel is expected for this position.
