Overview of our role:

Securing new business does not just happen overnight. New business wins are a result of a strategic gameplan that is executed in a collaborative team environment led by a highly driven, self-motivated, savvy director of business development. Berenyi’s Director of Business Development must possess a variety of professional skills, but most importantly, the position requires social competence, charisma, and business acumen to communicate effectively with decision makers, including C-suite executives.

Pay: Starting at $80-$100k

Typical day in the life as a Director of Business Development:

  •  Manage existing business relationships, while also feeding the pipeline with new business opportunities, resulting from researching trends, extensive networking, and developing leads.
  • Take a lead role in developing relationships with existing clients and new prospects, in local, regional, national, and international markets, to communicate brand standards and share project case studies to convey brand standards, sell services and position Berenyi as an industry leader.
  • Generate new leads through research and networking, identify and build relationships with decision-makers and industry leaders and facilitate pitch logistics to represent the prospect’s interests.
  • Manage new business communications efforts in conjunction with marketing, including but not limited to digital, field, and direct efforts.

  • Established interpersonal skills that adapt to a variety of settings, including the board room, construction sites, golf course, and beyond
  • Successful track record for engaging prospects and securing business
  • Flexibility to work internationally and possess an understanding of the inner workings of Africa’s government and business culture in countries where Berenyi seeks work
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, plan strategy, and manage resources
  • Masterful grasp of branding, its role in the sales cycle and the importance of adhering to established standards
  • Self-motivated and thrives when working independently while possessing inherent leadership skills to manage teams and programs effectively
