Carolina’s Hometown Respiratory is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant for our Concord, NC, and Pineville, NC location. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling customers for appointments pertaining to Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy devices, meet with customers for instruction on function, use and maintenance of PAP therapy devices and supplies.

Clinical Assistant Responsibilities and Duties:

• Implements the Company Mission Statement.
• Educates and trains new Clinical Assistants
• Interacts with customers in person, via phone, mail, email and fax
• Performs advanced file maintenance in customer’s records and information databases.
• Schedules deliveries, pick-ups, discontinuances, maintenances or service calls.
• Educates referral sources on required documentation for coverage of ordered equipment and services.
• Speaks with dissatisfied customers and coordinates the correction of the complaint and ensures service recovery. Recommends corrective services to adjust customer complaints.

• Maintains logs of compliant and non-compliant PAP users to direct necessary action of clinical staff
• Communicates with referral offices and Account Executives on PAP users’ status’ and required documentation
• Performs downloads of PAP users’ equipment
• Contacts customers to arrange delivery of settings-change media, oximeters and supplies, and retrieval of data media
• Compiles PAP users’ data for billing purposes
• Utilizes data management systems to store, retrieve and prompt procurement of PAP users’ data
• Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.
• Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
• Orders and maintains supplies
• Performs any additional Duties and Responsibilities assigned by the Respiratory Therapist or Clinical Director
• May have to communicate with company’s customers that may be:

o School Age Child (6 –12)

o Adolescent (12 – 18)

o Early Adulthood (18 – 44)

o Middle Adulthood (45 – 64)

o Late Adulthood (Over 65)

• Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
• Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.

Clinical Assistant Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience or training
• Clean drug screen and background check
