Job Summary
The Actuarial Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the actuarial department with a wide variety of mid-level actuarial processes to support strategic department goals.
Main Accountabilities
- Perform analysis to support pricing or reserving practice area and solve ad hoc business problems
- Assist in the development of actuarial pricing or reserving models; identify and suggest improvements
- Build domain knowledge of commercial insurance and assigned practice area
- Communicate results to actuarial leadership team
- Collaborate with other actuaries, data scientists, and other team members
- Pass actuarial exams
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related field
- At least three actuarial exams
- At least two years’ experience in an actuarial role
Preferred:
- Commercial lines insurance reserving experience
- Predictive modeling and programming skills
