About the Role:

Provide technical leadership to Store Portal application development team. Leverage your design, engineering, and leadership skills to help produce impactful applications as the technical lead for one of our critical business applications at Grocery Outlet. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining store users facing web-based applications. This application allows our stores to manage orders, distribution and receiving of product items at stores. You must have a high aptitude for web application development and an eagerness to learn and have good knowledge of programming, best practices in software engineering, database fundamentals and integration with other systems.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical lead and oversight to both onshore and offshore Software Engineering team to successfully build, maintain, & innovate high quality solutions
• Develops and oversees all software development lifecycle processes to release applications to production
• Understand, practice and leverage Scrum project management methods
• Design, develop, test and deployment of modern cloud web applications
• Design and implement reliable integration interfaces across multiple systems
• Lead system design reviews and product innovation using best practices
• Help to manage software testing against specifications and reports results
• Responsible for design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring the software development team
• Collaborates in creating high level test plans for software
• Work closely with users, provide support for production applications, analyzing and resolving issues
• Work closely with designers, programmers, and subject matter experts to deliver right solutions
• Triage production software issues and propose solutions

About You:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years of full stack hands-on software development experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software architectures using .NET, C#, JavaScript, React, Angular and Azure DevOps tools
• 3-5 years of experience developing and leading full-stack software development teams or as a technical lead, successfully delivering multiple releases of applications
• Experienced with agile Scrum methodology, the SDLC, DevOps, release management, source control, etc.
• Experience with creating and consuming REST and SOAP web services and integrating with systems
• Experience with designs, using relational databases such as SQL Server and DB2
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment
• Strong team player, with ability to communicate with peers, managers, and users while leading the development of a completed solution
