Gro Intelligence Careers is Hiring a Business Analyst Near New York City, NY

About the Role:

As the Climate team continues to develop new products, we need to understand the full universe of potential users, and be proactive in educating these users on climate change and demonstrating Gro’s products in creative ways. We are seeking a team member to conduct research on industry trends and development - who can also create a system for user interactions in collaboration with our marketing, sales, product, and analytics teams. This candidate will need to become a subject matter expert on climate topics, and act as a liaison between the Climate team and other groups at Gro.

What You’ll Do:

  • Business Strategy: Co-develop and execute on a go-to-market strategy for new products created by the Climate team, through industry analysis and segmentation
  • Analytical Involvement: Work closely with various members of the team to become a subject matter expert on climate topics, and contribute to discussions on new data sources and methods
  • Product Documentation: Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop documentation, training materials, and presentations to communicate climate products
  • Onboarding & Analytics: Work with product and design to optimize the onboarding process, further build scalable product analytics, and produce systems for gathering and analyzing user feedback
  • Partnerships: Support partnerships with major firms in the climate, finance, and data science spaces
  • (Post Pandemic) Traveling for client visits, conferences, meetings

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelors in a social or technical science such as Economics, Finance, Government, Environmental Studies, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • 1-2 years experience in consulting/research, business intelligence, or partnership role
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation abilities
  • Experience with producing analytical reports and case studies
  • Self-starter who is willing to ask questions about new subject matter, do their own research, and thoroughly document their learning process
  • Able to work independently against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across functional roles

Great to Have but Not Required

  • Experience at a tech company, consulting firm, or policy/research institution focused on climate, agriculture, or sustainability
  • Interest / experience with data analytics using Python, R, SQL, or another language
  • Demonstrated analytical or writing skills through a thesis, blog, or on Github
