Responsible for systems enhancement, including incremental design/functional element configuration, interfaces, coordination, and prototyping. Also, for the development of hardware, software, and communications, and for integration, and acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems. Work closely with an agile team of network, infrastructure, software developers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME), to perform requirements derivation and refinement. Performs activities concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Installation, configuration, and management of operating systems (Linux / Windows)
• Provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products
• Author requirements specifications, create test documentation and procedures, and develop trade studies.
• Translation of conceptual designs into technical specifications, participation in the evaluation of prototype systems and software solutions, and integration into the current architecture
• Work in collaborative teams; define and manage technical requirements throughout the product lifecycle
• Identify and manage technical program risk
• Participate in technical decision-making, serve as the lead System Engineer and function in an advisory role to the Program Manager or SME

Preferred Experience:

• Background in hybrid-cloud, cloud, integrated network architecture, and information technology infrastructures 
• Designed and enforced configuration management and interoperability standards; and defined, managed and performed testing and evaluation
• Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA)

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Secret clearance
• 10 of Years Systems Engineering experience
• 5 Years of DoDAF or a similar Enterprise Architecture Framework 
• 5 Years of experience implementing Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to include the generation of enterprise architecture and system-level models compliant with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) definitions
