Overview

PURPOSE:

Responsible for testing software applications created by the Grimmway Software Development Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work with the development team to help identify software requirements and recognize software defects.
• Work with end users to help identify malfunctions in software applications.
• Document, troubleshoot, and resolve software and data related issues.
• Must adhere to and help enforce established software coding and design guidelines and quality standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout most of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and adjacent office buildings. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience using multiuser business software applications.
• Must have knowledge and experience working with relational database systems, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Must be proficient in testing software applications in a large-scale Microsoft Windows network environment.
• Must be proficient using software applications to document and track defects.
• Must have an analytical mind and ability to recognize software defects.
• Must have excellent English language oral and written communication skills.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.
