Overview

PURPOSE:

The Sanitation Supervisor will manage, lead, train and supervise assigned sanitation crews, and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and cleaning standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Train, Develop and Supervise all assigned personnel and sanitation operations.
• Responsible for all sanitation processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of his/her assigned areas.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment and report any process or equipment problems.
• Verify the cleanliness of the plant exceeds measurable limits.
• Evaluate, train, and review chemical procedures with assigned crews.
• Coordinate, organize, and delegate crew assignments for efficient operations.
• Train and ensure established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed by employees.
• Provides daily plant status reports to Director of CA Fresh and QA Department.
• Occasional interaction with vendors, customers and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to work outdoors. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to move about inside food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Must be capable of working extended hours (sometimes day shift). Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -25° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a supervisor or lead is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with others efficiently and effectively.
• Able to instruct and lead employees in the performance of their work.
• Must be able to work nights.
• Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must be able to travel occasionally both local and out of the area depending on business need.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
