Griffis Residential is Hiring an Investor Relations Associate Near Greenwood Village, CO

Overview

The Investor Relations Associate plays an integral role in supporting the capital raising efforts including sourcing, engaging, and raising capital from targeted investors, while also being involved in the execution of ongoing investor communications.

The Investor Relations Associate assists in creating new relationships with investors to raise capital; builds relationships with current investors to increase their capital contributions; drafts investor communications including emails, sales language, and other traditional and online material; tracks data, and numbers to meet and exceed fundraising activity and performance requirements. The Investor Relations Associate reports to Chief Development Officer but also works closely with Griffis Residential's key executives in continuing to build the funds business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist executive and capital market teams in executing the fundraising strategy
  • Monitor and respond to new fundraising and business-related inquiries from HNW and Institutional investors, setting up calls or meetings as necessary
  • Manage inbound investor fundraising, business-related, and data requests
  • Own the RFP and DDQ processes by setting timeline for completion and monitoring progress by asset management and finance teams
  • Maintain and update investor database daily and keep the capital markets team appraised of activity
  • Manage content presented in the fundraising data rooms via the investor database and website content management system
  • Set up investor asset tours as requested, work with Operation’s Manager and onsite teams to ensure proper communication and that the asset is prepared for showing
  • Track incoming investor soft circle amounts and collaborate with the Sr. Investor Relations Specialist through final commitment
  • Collaborate with the investor marketing team to develop schedule and content for regular investor communication to potential HNW and Institutional investors including in- person and virtual roadshows, digital and traditional communications, videos, and webinars
  • Research and prospect for new investors and channels of capital while expanding capital raising with current investors
  • Collaborate in the planning and execution of advisory committee and annual meetings
  • Apply proven principles for effective selling while demonstrating professional integrity and always acting with high ethics
  • Ask the right discovery and diagnostic questions and then listen intently to determine where, and how you can create value
  • Develop a deep understanding of the investor technology tools we own and utilize
  • All other tasks and job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Corporate Communications or a similar field

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years’ work experience in related field
  • Exceptional self-starting work ethic and desire to succeed as demonstrated by strong undergraduate academic track record, success in previous jobs/internship and active participation in extracurricular activities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of success working in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Ability to grasp high-level real estate finance and alternative investment concepts
  • Ability and desire to develop sales and prospecting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications preferred
  • Familiarity with use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • An organized and effective personal and professional style
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills in executive settings (including working with presentation software tools like Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • A deep commitment to honest, ethical conduct in all dealings and an ability to adhere to Griffis Residential's core values
