Senior DevOps Engineer - CI/CD, Kubernetes:

We are seeking a strong Sr. DevOps Engineer with good technical expertise, to be responsible for the building a Continuous Delivery platform on Kubernetes-based Cloud for one of the largest world-leading big tech company.

We are using:

• Kerberos / LDAP as authentication / authorization
• Kubernetes as a target reference deployment platform
• Gradle Kotlin for build automation
• Git for source control

You will be working as a key member of this collaborative team with a group of experts recognized around the world. This is an excellent opportunity to play a role as a key contributor in creating the next generation of network-centric distributed and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and define acceptance criteria
• Build highly-customized workflows of delivery and suggest best practices and UX
• Containerize and migrate multiple existing applications
• Research and show demos with respect to new CI/CD practices, like ArgoCD
• Work in an Agile methodology environment where innovation, teamwork, and creativity are the keys to success
• Collaborate with a distributed team of Developers and DevOps engineers located all over the world

Requirements:

• 5 years in DevOps
• Should be comfortable working PST working hours, but very late is not necessary
• Understanding what Kubernetes is for, and which goals it helps to achieve, it will likely be required to integrate with its API
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and readiness to provide high-level support and supervise/coordinate the teams on the customer side
• Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices
• Strong analytical skills and experience in requirements analysis
• Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies in particular
• Hands-on experience with any programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix-based operating systems (bash/ssh/ps/grep etc.)
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes (Jenkins, Team City, Cruise Control, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Desire and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
