Responsibilities

What You Will Do?

• Assists Executive Chef with overseeing scheduling of kitchen staff, new hire orientation and training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.
• Assists Executive Chef in planning, costing, and executing all menus.
• Ensures department meets all standards in accordance with State and Federal Health Survey process.
• Ensures all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with safe work practices.
• Maintains work assignments for all kitchen employees, assigns projects, spot-check work.

Supervises production, sanitation, and food service in community dining rooms.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Culinary education or two years of college preferred.
