GreenPower Motor Company Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Technician Near Torrance, CA

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
  • Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure the proper functioning
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
  • Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
  • Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 1-2 years of electrical experience preferred
  • 110v/120v experience preferred
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
  • Strong and consistent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Experience using schematics, electrical diagnostic equipment, and applicable computer equipment
  • Formal schooling and training on vehicle electrical systems and electronics preferred
  • Knowledge of basic automotive wiring theory and application
  • Cab electrical experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or moves items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth 69, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
