Essential Job Functions including but not limited to: Manage the Quality Assurance department to support customer quality and regulatory requirements as well as support business OTD and Quality metrics Liaison with internal project teams and functional groups to align QA operations & resources with business needs Technical expert on quality systems including knowledge of the AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. Responsible for supporting the Customer Specification Review process by review of contracts/purchase orders and flow down customer quality requirements including design documentation for standard and custom products Manage the planning and implementation of internal GTC quality assurance systems and tools(inspection plans, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, and SPC activities) to ensure achievement of business and operational quality goals Achieve and maintain designations as required by Aerospace customers and/or government regulatory agencies in order to fulfill their requirements for on-site primary Customer Quality Representative (DQR Stamps) Participate in NCR assessment, MRB’s and other reviews of nonconformances, escapes, and other quality issues. Identify and conduct relevant quality related training needs per QMS or regulatory compliances. Manage the issuance, maintenance, and retention of internal and external QMS documents. Participate in task or projects assigned by Quality Manager (e.g. quality management, software implementation, organizational changes, data analysis, etc.) Other duties and responsibilities: Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Quality Control in performance of their duties. Influence the Safety and Quality Culture of the organization. Assist in performing a variety of quality engineering functions to improve the Quality Management System. Provide support to internal functions in the application, maintenance and improvement of quality systems and department specific processes. Performs any task necessary to support customer requirements and company goals. Work closely with GTC subsidiaries and their subcontractors to verify compliance with the Aerospace and corporate policies. Maintain direct reports time and attendance records. Develop and manage development opportunities of direct reports and ensure cross-training and succession planning takes place for key team roles. Attend technical meetings, trade shows, seminars, etc., where applicable. Required Minimum Qualifications: 8 -10 years in Quality Assurance / Customer Service environment. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100 Supervisory experience Quality auditing experience Experience with Lean Manufacturing fundamentals Education Bachelors or 5 years of supervision in a related field Skills and Experience Strong Interpersonal Skills Sense of Urgency – Follow Up MS Office & Computer Aptitude preferably SAP experience Process oriented knowledge and application to work procedures Gauge R&R Knowledge of Elastomers & Plastics Knowledge of Visual Measurement Systems (OGP) Knowledge of CMM Measurement Systems Knowledge of GD&T Essential Job Functions Physical Requirements: Standing Rarely (0-15%) Sitting Occasionally (16-45%) Lifting Up to 15lbs without assistance Carrying Up to 15lbs without assistance Walking Occasionally (16-45%) Hearing Ability to detect noises with or without corrective device(s) Vision Clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses Mental Requirements: Problem Solving Occasionally (16-45%) Making Decisions Ability to make decisions that have a significant impact Supervise Frequently (46-100%) Interpret Data Occasionally (16-45%) Organize Rarely (0-15%) Read/Write Rarely (0-15%) Communication Occasionally (16-45%) Work Environment High Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Low Temperatures Rarely (0-15%) Noises Moderate (business office with computers, printers and light office noises) Fumes Exposure Rarely (0-15%) Note: This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
