The Green Bay Country Club (GBCC) is hiring Kitchen Porters and Dishwashers to expand our Culinary Team!

This is an excellent opportunity to work at a beautiful, high-end country club. The Green Bay Country Club contains four full service kitchens and one of the areas largest and best culinary programs. From casual to banquets and fine dining our culinary team does it all.

As a kitchen porter you will ensure that the kitchen is clean and orderly, you will also help with basic food preparation. Washing of dishes, equipment and utensils so that they are ready to be used and meet sanitation regulations will be a daily job duty. It will be your job to support the kitchen manager and chefs to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. This entry-level position will allow you to gain valuable experience in a commercial kitchen.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations.

• Follows all state and local health and food safety regulations.
• Follows all safety procedures for operating and cleaning machinery.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Job Tasks/Duties

• Operate dishwashing machine and 3 compartment sinks.
• Washes work tables, walls and refrigerators.
• Sweeps, mops, and cleans floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Pot washing.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Attends training programs.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct manager/Executive Chef.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Able to handle stress in a hot, fast paced work environment for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
