Great Lakes Credit Union is Hiring a System Administrator Near Bannockburn, IL

Description

The System Administrator’s primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our Vision, “To be the members’ trusted financial partner.” Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise. 

The System Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the needs of GLCU are met by daily administration and monitoring of our applications and systems, along with enhancing our applications and systems to meet changing business needs. Meets and exceeds service expectations of managers and staff in all GLCU departments, in order that GLCU can provide the highest level of member service. 

As a System Administrator your duties will be: 

· Handling daily administration of changes to GLCU applications to ensure appropriate levels of availability, security, and performance. Accurately administering the phone system.

· Administering and maintaining the telephone system and all associated hardware, software, test and failover systems. 

· Training Help Desk staff to make routine changes and overseeing their efforts in resolving technical issues. 

· Properly communicate and translate technical processes for the business. 

· Working closely with business units to ensure systems are meeting business needs. 

· Managing all user account additions, changes, and deletions for the organization in a timely and efficient manner. 

· Administer PC imaging for compliance after a user has left the organization. 

· Provide second level support for workstations, printers, biometrics, and peripherals, assisting with Help Desk Calls as needed. Provides technical guidance to Help Desk Staff.

· Act as the Symitar lead for the network team.

· Troubleshooting and working with the IS team on projects. 

· Maintaining and administering Active Directory accounts including: additions, deletions and changes. 

·Administers and leads efforts to expand the use of tools such as Manage Engine's AD Manager in the organization.

· Managing the PC imaging and build process using SmartDeploy or similar imaging tools.

· Ensure that base images are patched monthly, drivers are updated, and images are tested and stable for all end-user hardware. 

· Administering the Email and Web filtering systems.

· Administering peripheral security and support tools such as software distribution, anti-virus, malware, web/email filtering, workstation HW or SW tools, ticketing system, etc. This includes implementing updated versions and cross-training others as needed. 

· Ensuring accurate and timely data backup/replication occurs. Resolves any issues related to data backup and recovery of files and servers. 

· Maintaining backup processes as business requirements change. 

· Assisting in managing the deployment of patches to all workstation and servers. 

· Handling software deployment and script distribution in a timely and non-intrusive manner ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory rules and guidelines 

· Develop and maintain accurate and definitive documentation that can be used to train others. 

· Assist with managing the relationships with our phone, software, hardware, and network vendors. 

· Participating in development, implementation, and continued support of disaster recovery/business resumption.

· Ensuring compliance with applicable internal controls, laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to GLCU and ensure member confidentiality.

Requirements

One to three years of similar or related experience

A 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study, or extensive in-house training

Decision making requires analytical ability, judgement, and ingenuity - moderate amount of discretion

Knowledge of the following applications are a plus, but not a requirement:

Azure/Office 365; Virtual Platforms; Windows Active Directory Administration; ZScaler; MS Exchange; Server operating systems
