Childcare Teacher
ASSISTANT TEACHER needed for our growing Keystone Star 4 Child Care and Early Learning Center at our Blairsville location.

Must maintain a strong commitment to high quality "best practices" and intentional teaching. Assist teacher in providing a positive and appropriate educational program which meets the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the children in your care.

Requirements

Ability to physically interact and play with children.

Work cooperatively and effectively by communicating and contributing information.

Maintain friendly and cooperative relationships with families.

Classroom management skills.

Continue staff professional development.

Responsibilities and Duties

Seeking experienced, caring professionals who will support children and families with positive and friendly interactions. Job includes assisting teacher in implementing lesson plans, planning and implementing activities, performing classroom management tasks, as well as the supervision and care of children.

The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher shall assist teacher in creating a classroom and providing activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving skills appropriate to the developmental levels of the children in their care. Emphasis on language development and emergent literacy skills along with STEM activities.

Qualifications and Skills

Early Childhood Education experience preferred.

Good communication skills

Ability to pass criminal background checks

CDA or Child Development/Early Childhood Education classes preferred
